Further to our post in regards to our Fundraising for St Vincent de Paul, we had students who over the weekend put their faith into action, working very hard to raise money for the Winter Woollies appeal.
Harriet and Georgia spent Saturday making 48 vanilla and chocolate cupcakes, and Samuel then helped the girls to ice and decorate them.
The girls made a Winter Woollies sign, created an ingredient list, and rehearsed talking points to describe what school they attended and who they were raising money for.
The three then set out around their local neighbourhood and door knocked selling their creations, $3 a cupcake or 2 for $5. There were some extra generous donations from their neighbours that helped them reach $120 in sales!
They were thrilled with the success of the bake and we are extremely proud of their actions as students at OLOL. Well done in spreading their Faith and raising awareness of those who are less fortunate than ourselves.
